The American Moodo Institute is involved in more than the teaching of martial art techniques and self-defense. It is concerned with the total development of each practitioner. This includes the cultivation of discipline, self-esteem, courtesy, concentration and health for all members.

In addition to martial arts training, children are taught the Children’s Home Rules – for molding them into responsible citizens. They become more disciplined in school and home. Importantly, through success with martial arts they grow more confident and feel better about themselves which, in turn, breeds success in other aspects of their lives. These same benefits may be realized by adults along with weight control, cardiovascular health, enhanced flexibility and stress relief.

The philosophy of the American Moodo Institute, reflecting its martial arts heritage, is dedicated to the development of the student as an individual and member of society. Its tenets include:

  1. Courtesy
  2. Integrity
  3. Perseverance
  4. Self Control
  5. Indomitable Spirit
